Dr. Savanah Sayler joined Harrel Eyecare in the Spring of 2012. She graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry with her Doctorate of Optometry. While completing her educational requirements at NSUOCO, she received the Clinical Excellence Award, Heart of America Excellence in Contact Lens Award, and she is a Carl Zeiss Vision Fellowship recipient.
Dr. Sayler specializes in difficult contact lens fits; including scleral and gas permeable contact lenses. She fits specialty contact lenses on patients with keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, post RK ectasia, ocular surface disease, and other corneal conditions. She enjoys treating ocular disease, especially relating to Multiple Sclerosis. While earning her doctorate, she performed research studying ocular symptoms of patients with Multiple Sclerosis. She also specializes in treating dry eye disease and meibomian gland dysfunction.
Dr. Sayler grew up Wilson, Oklahoma. She attended Oklahoma State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
Dr. Sayler is an active member of the Junior League of Tulsa, the America Optometric Association, and the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians. She enjoys volunteering at the Special Olympics. In her free time, Dr. Sayler enjoys spending time with her husband and her two sons.
